Disappear in a camera obscura

After C.O. Journey Joanna Bailie continues to explore and deepen her obsession with the camera obscura in the musical performance Analogue.

Analogue plays with the many real, possible or imaginary parallels between the audible and the visible. The basic material of the piece arose from two field recordings, recorded and then electronically manipulated by Bailie herself.

All the music that is handled during the performance by Nadar Ensemble is derived from the electronic sound; the manipulation of the field recordings. In this way Analogue also investigates the relationship between 'the real' and transcribed material and the gap between the two.
